China is a gigantic country, we recommend taking the train on
long journeys. The railway system is well-developed, and there
are many opportunities to stop at fascinating towns along the
way on your journey through China. The train gives you the
opportunity to enjoy the landscape and meet the local people in a
relaxed way.
Many of the long train journeys in China include one night on the
train, which means that you save the hotel expense. Avoid
taking the bus if there is the possibility of taking the train. Bus
conditions and service can be bad. Book your train trips entirely or partly from home, this will give you a good and safe start to your journey. It can be very troublesome and time-consuming to buy tickets at the train stations in China, the queues are very long and all communication happens in Chinese. Only a few towns in China have tourist information.
The tourist class train package includes single way train ticket to
a chosen destination in soft sleeper (first class), arrival transfer
from the train station to your hotel and 2 nights’ accommodation in a tourist class hotel with breakfast. You can add extra nights if required.
